Mark Drozdowski, Senior Executive Counsel, has developed a rich background in development, communications and campaigning in his 26-year career. Mark’s experience has spanned a wide range of not-for-profit organizations, both in staff leadership positions and as a consultant at several organizations, including the University of Connecticut Foundation, Franklin Pierce University and the University of New Haven. He has served as the Executive Director of the Fitchburg State University Foundation, where he planned and executed a successful $12.5 million campaign.
Along with his campaign and major gift experience, Mark has published articles and columns in The Chronicle of Higher Education, The New York Times Magazine, Inside Higher Ed and the Adjunct Advocate. He also authored a book entitled: A Peculiar Calling...Confessions of a College Fundraiser.
Mark holds a B.A. in American History from the University of Pennsylvania and an Ed.M. and Ed.D. from Harvard University. He also currently serves as an adjunct faculty member at Columbia University and Bay Path University, teaching Higher Education, Philanthropy, Marketing and Communications and Grant Writing.
Mark, his wife, Kristen, and their three children, Julia, Sara, and Adam, live in Cheshire, Connecticut.
